Kakadu

We stayed one night at Kakadu.
Kakadu had heaps of amazing rock art, particularly at Ubir.

The road we had to drive on!

Where we had a swim at the
end of a long walk.

Big bats flew over us each night, we have seen so many wierd bugs and
lots of pretty birds and lots of frogs and cane toads. We have also seen dingoes and
wild pigs.

They burn off on purpose at kakadu this time of year,
we drove past so many little fires!

Last night we stayed at Edith Falls, it was very pretty. We had a swim
in the upper-pools. We are now in Katherine.

Darwin

We are now in Darwin!!! We left Adelaide River on Tuesday morning. Yesterday we explored the city of Darwin. We had a look at the fish market and wharf, walked down the mall and were hot and sweaty. This morning we went to Fannie Bay Gaol! It is an old gaol that was opened in 1883 and was still being used up until 1979. We saw the gallows where two men were hanged.

We also went on a jumping croc cruise on the Adelaide River! It was awesome!

On Thursday we went to Darwin's Wave Pool (man-made), it was great fun.

Alice Springs to Adelaide River

We are now in Adelaide River!

At Alice Springs we stayed at mum's cousin's house (Stuart and Jackie) When we were there we watched the slab being poured for his new house.

After our night at Alice we drove to Banka Banka and had one night there, on the way we stopped at the Devils Marbles...

And we stopped at Wycliffe Wells, the alien centre of Australia...

At Banka Banka there was a very big green frog sitting in the toilet bowl.

On the way from Banka Banka to Mataranka we stopped at...
Daly Waters Pub...

We also stopped at the pink pantha pub for a look at their zoo.

There are termite mounds everywhere.

Thomas, Edward, Claire and Dad all got a chance to feed some barramundi.

We have seen lots and lots of cane toads and almost every bathroom has cute little frogs in it.
